CIPM, the Nation’s Leader in HRM Sri Lanka proudly inaugurated the Renewable Solar Energy project today at CIPM Head Office “HR House” Narahenpita as an initiative by the incumbent President of CIPM Sri Lanka Mr. Ken Vijayakumar.
Mr. Vijayakumar being a corporate leader who always has a passion for Sustainability and Green HR initiatives. CIPM is the first professional institution to embark on renewable energy in Sri Lanka.
The 40 KW Grid Tie Solar System of CIPM officially opened today (16.12.2023) at CIPM Head Office Premises with the presence of President – CIPM Mr. Ken Vijayakumar, Vice President – Mr. Priyantha Ranasinghe, Honorary Secretary of CIPM, Col. Saman Jayawickrama, Honorary Treasurer of CIPM Mr Priyankara Seneviratne along with Head of Sustainability and Facility Management Mr. Chandima Pinsiri and Staffs of CIPM.
The project was a part of the objectives lined up in the standing committee on Sustainability, Diversity and Inclusivity under the leadership of Ms. Wasanthi Vithanage, Council Member and Assistant Secretary of CIPM Council 2023/24.
CIPM Sri Lanka too was awarded the Gold Award in the Education Category on the Triumph of excellence on “Transparency, Accountability, Governance and Sustainability” at the TAGS Awards by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA – Sri Lanka) held at Shangri-La Colombo on 12th December 2023.
The Nation’s Leader in HRM, The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management Studies, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka on 21st December 2022 at the premises of Rajarata University.
This was signed for the betterment of the undergraduates and graduates of the Department of Human Resource Management and more benefits will be reaped by both parties through this academic-professional collaboration.
The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, with the participation of Prof. GAS Ginigaddara, Dean, Prof. Bandula Jayathilake, Heads of the Departments, and the students. Representing the CIPM Col. S Jayawickrama (Retired) – Honorary Treasurer, CIPM Executive Council, Mr. UAC Obeysekere – Chief Executive Officer, Mr. G Weerathunge – Director – Professional & Academic Affairs, Ms. Himali Dasanayake – Director Operations and Mr. Anushka Earskin – Head of Business School participated in the ceremony.
First-ever medical centre has been declared open at the HR House Head office in Colombo, Sri Lanka with the blessings of the Governing Council and the President of CIPM SL on 19th December 2022. By implementing this worthy establishment, the Staff of the CIPM will be directly beneficial. Mr. Ken Vijayakumar, President CIPM, Hony. Treasurer Col. Saman Jayawickrama and the Management of 
the CIPM have participated. Dr. Thivanka Munasingha, Consultant, Family Physician, will be available for medical requirements.
