The Great HR Quiz 2023, organized by CIPM Sri Lanka, ended on a high note, with Siam City Cement Lanka Ltd taking the Overall CIPM Great HR Quiz 2023 Champion Trophy. IFS R&D International (Pvt) Ltd grabbed the 1st Runner-up Trophy, while Ansell Lanka (Pvt) Ltd won the 2nd Runner-up Trophy.
The highly anticipated event for the HR community was held on November 29th at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo.
A total of 65 teams from both public and private sector companies enthusiastically took part in the event. The event was a lively and interactive quiz, featuring a special digital response device on each team’s table.
We were honored to have Mr. Nalin Karunaratne, Director/CEO of Ceylon Biscuits Ltd, as our Chief Guest, and Mr. Anura Siriwardena, Executive Director of Voice of Asia Network (Pvt) Ltd, as our Guest of Honour. We were also pleased to have Mr. Ken Vijayakumar, President of CIPM, along with the office bearers, executive council members, past presidents, and the senior management and staff of CIPM in attendance.
The panel of judges for the event included renowned Senior Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri, Mr. Dhammika Fernando, and Prof. A. Sarveswaran. Mr. C. Hewapattini served as the Quiz Master. The CIPM, the nation’s leader in Human Resource Management, signed an MOU with Kelaniya University, a renowned university in Sri Lanka, on 16th March 2023 at the Senate House of the Kelaniya University to collectively develop Human Resouce Profession for the benefit of the HR professionals, managerial community and HR students and in the country. The Vice-Chancellor, Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva; Registrar, Mr.K.K.K.Dharmathilka, Dean Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Dr. P.N.D Fernando; Head, Senior Lecturer Department of Commerce and Financial Management Mr. M.M.M. Shamil and academic staff of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies participated at Ceremony. CEO Mr U.A.C Obeysekere, Director of Professional and Academics Affairs Mr. G.Weerathunga, Head of Business School Mr. Anushka Earskin, Head of Finance Ms. Wathasla Naddeeshani, and Executive Media & Digital Marketing T. Krishanth represented the CIPM at the Ceremony.

The Standing Committee on Globally Recognized Member Centric Organization of CIPM Sri Lanka & Member Services organized a ‘Paduru Sajje’ on Friday, 10th of March 2023 for its prestigious members. All members seemed to be enjoying the old and new hits performed by the entertainers of the ‘Paduru Sajje’.
The event was well organized and it was a great opportunity for our members to meet with each other and share ideas about what they need from CIPM as an organization.
CIPM is happy to announce that the President of CIPM SL, Mr. Ken Vijayakumar participated as a panel member to express his view at the “Tax Forum 2023” organized by SLIM Research Bureau held on 21st February 2023 from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm at the Kingsbury Hotel, with the participation of His Excellency the President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Keynote speaker.
The Vice President CIPM SL, Hony. Treasurer, a few council members, and the CEO of CIPM SL attended to the forum.
