As one of its sustainability initiatives, CIPM SL along with Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka launched a PET plastic collection and recycling program on 26th October 2023 by placing a designated 50 kg recycling bin at Polhengoda Junction near CIPM premises under the guidance of the Chairperson of the Standing committee on Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusivity of CIPM Sri Lanka Ms. Wasanthi Withanage.
The event was graced by esteemed individuals: Mr. Ken Vijayakumar, President of CIPM, Mr. Chrisantha Obeyesekere, CEO of CIPM, Mr. G. Weerathunga, Director of Professional, Academic Affairs.
The signing of MoU with the Department of Agrarian Development for collaborative research by the CIPM Research Committee on “Attraction and Retention of Youth in Domestic Agriculture. A. H. M. L. Aberathne – Commissioner General of Agrarian Development, L. Anupama Awanthi – Assistant Commissioner (Establishment), Prof. Prasadhini Gamage – Chairman of CIPM Research Committee & Council member, U. A. C. Obeyesekere – CEO of CIPM, Tharindu Gunathilake Member of CIPM Research Committee & Chartered Member and Indika Wijayasriwardana – Head of Shared Services CIPM participated in this event which was held at the Department of Agrarian Development on 21st September 2022.
CIPM SL is humbled to announce that the institute offers a full scholarship to follow CQHRM programme for Ms. Rashmi Nimesha Gunawardhana for her outstanding performance at the G.C.E. A/L examination 2021 with the aim of supporting and encouraging to achieve her future goal of becoming a Chartered HR Professional despite all the physical disabilities she has.

The first Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Diploma in Professional Human Resource Management (DPHRM) was held on Sunday, 04th September 2022, with the presence of the Chief Guest Mr. Ken Vijayakumar, President CIPM Sri Lanka, Mr. Kanishka Weeramunda – Founder / Chief Executive Officer of PayMedia (Pvt) Ltd, Guest of Honour, office bearers, Council Members and the other distinguished guests. There were 400 Diploma holders who received their certificates and the event was concluded with great success.
