The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka and General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University (KDU) formally executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 17, 2024, at the Vice Chancellor’s Office, KDU. This significant accord marks a historic milestone for both institutions, fostering the expansion of educational opportunities and the exploration of new horizons for students. Moreover, the MOU catalyses enhanced collaboration, knowledge exchange, and broader access to academic and professional resources.
Representing KDU at the MOU signing ceremony were Rear Admiral H.G.U. Dammika Kumara, Vice Chancellor; Prof. K. A. S. Dhammika, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics; Dr Ms L. Liyanage, Dean, Faculty of Management, Social Sciences & Humanities; Ms D. D. Lokuge, Head of the Department of Management and Finance; and other academic staff.
Mr. Saman Jayawickkrama, Honorary Secretary represented the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka; Air Vice Marshal Mr Manoj Keppetipola, Honorary Editor; Mr Harendra Hewakuruppu, Council Member; Mr U. A. C. Obeyesekere, Chief Executive Officer; Mr Sujeewa Perera, Manager Examination; and Mr Ravindu Sachintha, Assistant Manager, Professional and Academic Affairs.
This collaborative initiative symbolises a commitment to mutual growth and underscores the shared vision of both organisations in advancing education and professional development.
The CPD Session on Future-Proofing Your Career: What got you here won’t get you there! conducted by Dr. Asoka Jinadasa, Honorary Member of CIPM Sri Lanka was held on 27th January 2023 at the CIPM Auditorium and was a resounding success with the participation of 50 plus CIPM members.
The session greatly contributed towards the Continuous Professional Development of the CIPM members initiated by the Standing Committee on Globally Recognized Member Centric Organization and was appreciated as an activity of great value by much of the audience.
Founder/CEO of Nalaka H Consulting Inc., a Toronto-based International Training and Coaching services firm, Mr Nalaka Hewamadduma launched a book on “Art of Well-Bring”.
The ceremony took place at CIPM Members’ Lounge on 26th January 2023 with the participation of distinguished guests Mr.Ken Vijayakumar – President, Hony. Treasurer, Council Members, CEO of CIPM, HOD’s and staff of CIPM.
A CPD session on HRM in a BANI World: Strategies for Sustainability for CIPM Members is happening now at the CIPM Auditorium conducted by Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri, Chartered Fellow of CIPM Sri Lanka.
